Whether you choose the 2.5 diesel VM Motori or the 2.4 Mitsubishi Engine, both are reliable, green and great to drive

At the heart of any great taxi there is a choice of great engines’ the 2.5 diesel VM Motori or the 2.4 Mitsubishi. Both are clean and quiet but with no compromise on economy, reliability and power. The diesel motor delivers high torque at low speeds means you can pull away from a standing start quickly and effortlessly, while gear driven twin balance shafts within the engine reduce vibration to a minimum.

If they had put the Mitsubishi diesel in they would have a half decent cab

Time is up for the black cab. The Vito is in London.

Really?

As the owner of a Vito, I can tell you otherwise.

It'll never replace the traditional Taxi for street generated work, which is the mainstay of my work.

The TX4 still outsells my choice of taxi.

There is only one Vito in Maidstone out of 48 hackneys. There have been 8 new LTI cabs ordered in the last month alone.

I have purchased another new cab which is one of the last ever Silver spec TX's, another operator has purchased 3 TX Style cabs and 3 independents have just taken delivery of 2 styles and 1 Elegance TX's.
