Can you name somewhere where deregulation has worked?

Can you tell me why the OFT reported in 2003 of consistent failures in deregulated areas? ........annex c?

I can mention the whole of Ireland.......and deregulation failure if you like.

Answers

1, Yes and still taxi numbers more than doubled.

2, London still complain about too many taxis.

3, Then why point to Ireland.

De-regulation works. :D

Who in London?
I hear more about to many minicabs and too many illegal touts.

BTW do you often hear of areas where the trade thinks there aren't enough taxis? If there were only two taxis, the owners would still complain it was one too many.

That one most definitely wins hands down as the biggest and worst de-reg c*ck-up.
The fact that you (and others) continually point to any example of screwed up de-regulation, regardless of how badly it was handled.

You never entertain the reasons why it went wrong, just highlight the fact it didn't work and what a mess is left behind.
The implication is that the same fate awaits all who go down the de-reg route.
Baby and bathwater. Blame the de-reg, not the p*ss poor implementation.
I suppose it suits your case but it just clouds the issue and polarises the debate.

Your closed mind has already decided. The rest is just waffle.

You missed the bus a long time ago CC.

A question which has been answered many times before.

Did CC phone you up because he was struggling?

You've never answered and neither has anybody else for that matter, not realistically anyway. How can you put standards on new drivers when the current drivers don't have them. The only other way is via the vehicle, we did that prior to derestriction and guess what...... it didn't work
