I only answer real questions, noit the meanderings of a numpty.

But here's one for you.

Explain to us all how, in a time of economc recession, resricting the number of taxis works?

How, when you need people to leave the trade, because it's so poor, restricting the trade, creating a plate value which will cause people to hold onto them, is gonna put more customers erses on your seat?

Go on, I need a good laugh.

BTW I'll say it now. I'll predict your respinse. You can't answer the question so you won't.

BTW2 How bout you Mr "journalist" from taxi talk rag? As a self appointed trade guru, you gonna answer this simple question?

How is an increase of taxis gonna put "customers erses on your seats"?

If the customers aren't there due to a downturn in economy, an increase of 500% (to use a silly figure) won't increase the number of passengers

re-regulated last year?

Dear TDO,

REF NO: 2178.1.

I am writing to confirm that Middlesbrough Council has now completed its search for the information you requested on 15 February 2011.

In your request you asked for the following information:

1. Can you confirm that your council restricts the number of hackney carriage vehicles you license?

Response: No

Alex

Your wrong on virtually all you wrote there, apart from an unqualified person owning a hackney carriage.

Exactly what qualification is required to own a hackney carriage?
