I thought someone might comment on both hack and ph stopping on zig zags on a zebra crossing.

Or is that ok in Manchester?

There are numerous offences being committed in that video. Even the professional hackney carriage driver turning right at a no right turn swiftly followed by a Trafford Private hire driver who not only turned right but turned right from the inside lane.

Its a pity we don't get more of these videos because if you look closely, at no stage do you see a policeman. I think that''s because they just want the town cleared but its very easy to see how women become victims of their own stupidity.

But what if you are not a news medium and you are not doing it for artistic purposes? and surely filming, say a taxi rank, cannot be classed as recreational, personally I would feel strange telling someone I filmed a taxi rank for recreational purposes.

The fact is you could be doing it for evidential purposes or statistical use, so does that change anything?
What you find recreational is nobody's business but your own.

The use you put your film to later is neither here nor there, only the purpose it was made for

Is it no wonder that we have instances like this, when the council and the police don't give a f*** about the goings on recorded in the video?

If the media wished to pursue this incident then the video might be potential dynamite in their hands because as you say, it highlights the total disregard Manchester city council and the police have towards this type of enforcement.

The attacker was Asian, in his mid 20s, slim with a slim face, and wearing light-coloured trousers and a dark top.

He spoke good English with an Asian accent

Racism has many definitions, the most common being that members of one racial group consider themselves intrinsically superior to members of other racial groups. Racism inherently starts with the assumption that there are taxonomic differences between different groups of people. Without this assumption, prejudices against different peoples would be catagorised as being prejudices related to national or regional origin, religion, occupation, social status or some other distinction.

I don't think it's racist to say this chap was, or appeared to be, Asian. And if this is another case of an alleged Asian man committing an offence, then that's also not racist IMO.

But anyone saying all rapist cabbies/PH/unlicensed are Asian, or foreign, is not only racist, it's also utter b**locks.

The courts will decide on that London cabby's future, following his recent charges, but one thing is for certain, that chap isn't Asian, he is 100% white English.
