I spoke to a guy today that couldn't believe his 50K plate was worthless.

He'd bought in just before Christmas.

He told me that he just want the opportunity to pay it off.

I wished him good luck . . . .

It's not, it's worth fifty grand.

I've got bad news for you Saf.

Your plate is worthless.

The only value it had was due to credit secured against property as collateral. No more equity. No more credit.

Sorry Saf or old bean, it's just the way it is.

The banks aren't lending.

If the current downturn continues? You'll be able to pick up a plate for chickenfeed.

Nine months from now people will be going out of business.

Keep your eyes on the international news. If Israel attacks Iran, $200 a barrel will just be the beginning.

Drivers, driving their own taxis would be better off. Only the owners would suffer by losing the drivers rental.

No more little illusion.

So much for you playing the big man saf? It looks like it is all over bar the shouting.

No seriously. it's bad here as well, I'm just wondering when the farmers, hauliers, taxi-drivers, and private hire drivers, realise that if they all contacted each other, and set up a national day of action, they might just get somewhere. after all those websites and e-mail addresses... it wouldn't take a lot....
I agree this private hire hackneys divide makes me sick. We need to stick together or we are all going down the pan, I was at the glasgow fuel protest recently went through to edinburgh there were about 6 private hire and 2 hacs from glasgow not one from edinburgh :sad:Even the truckers came up to us and thanked us as were all in this sh#t together. We need to have another one shortly if we can afford the fuel to go on a go slow.

Bigyin, you need to realise the deliberate mistake, they don't lead, they follow .. .

If you want anything it comes with a mind of your own . .. ..

To start off with we need a good slogan to put in the back windscreen... some of the ones in the past have been .. if it's not broken don't fix it... and a good one was... unwanted... which was attached to a poster.... which was made up to look like a Wild West wanted poster.. it had a picture of the then Minister of Transport, Steven Norris.

So let see if anybody can come up with a good one, we could then e-mailed it out to all the associations that we know, and of course websites, and e-mail anyone else, especially truckers and farmers, we could then post copies to all the MPs in Parliament, the opposition love to Wave posters in the face of the government,
with it must be a letter asking the MP to reply, which they have to do to a member of their own constituency, hundreds of thousands of letters can take up a great deal of time when you have to reply to them.... so put your thinking caps on.

Oh and by the way... the winner... will receive four weeks holiday in the Tower of London... courtesy of Mr Brown

Sorry to pi*s on your parade Gary but the banks are still lending or at least they did to the guy that has just bought my plate and taxi
I would have put more smilies on but 69,000 smilies would look a bit silly don't you think, one very happy owner of a plate and nearly new tx4 complete with two very happy drivers that are not paying £300+ a week for a drive.
You really should do your homework before saying things are worthless Gary but like everything else you say or do, you act first then think later.
Btw,you really should lay of the pies Gary your starting to look a little bloated that along with your constant worrying is not good for you
Semi retired at the age of fifty,no mortgage, days on the golf course, four months a year on the Costa Brava the futures bright my tan is orange.
Anyway couldn't resist coming on and telling you how it all worked out and good luck for you in the future :^o
Adios amigo

Not as much as you, scrote.
Was that 69k for a nearly new TX4 and 50K plate?

Doesn't sound like you made much on the deal.
