Yeah JD I must agree with you, that hard working lad from Gateshead deserves a Knighthood for services to the Taxi Trade.

Well thanks fellas ................ I never knew you cared.

Pity about the further allegations of censorship and administrative interferance .................. still just ban those responsible for causing you trouble and the problems will go away.

B. Lucky

We do ban troublemakers but not before we give them plenty of latitude that's why you're still around. What's the population of Gateshead again?

Aren't you going to congratulate Ali T on getting his plate?

I think the saying goes something like this, "he who laffs last, laffs loudest".

To be honest i wasn't going to bother replying to any of this crud anymore, however i am somewhat amazed and bemused at how childish this thread has become, i refer to the personal posts as posted by NO TIPS in the main and certain posts by Limo Driver. This was an interesting debate, but as per usual the more childish members decided to change quotes and get personal, this is to say the least PATHETIC and it began to resemble some sort of school playground, fortunately we adults did not rise to it and retaliate with petty name calling and slating of professional companies. I hope those of you that are guilty of this manage to get over your childish state of mind soonest and also have the guts to maybe stand by your convictions by maybe attending a meeting 1 day where upon you can hear all the professionals opinions of this, in fact at the last meeting there was indeed a COIF man there, not LIMO DRIVER i may add as i did ask!! The conversation was very intelligent and things were learnt by both parties and no slanging match neither, unlike on here, perhaps its because we are face to face at the meetings who knows. I am still of the sane mind to say, fortunately its only a few of the taxi drivers who give the others a bad name, bit like our bunch really!!!!

Sites like these need people to put forward opposing viewpoints ............ banning people because they are "troublemakers" shows that you cannot debate the issues they raise.

Ban me whenever you like ............. no-one will care ............ no-one will be asking for my reinstatement and you can carry on believeing that your right and everyone else is wrong.

lol I think everyone would agree, except you perhaps? That there is a marked difference in someone who intentionally causes trouble and mass disruption and someone who does nothing more that put forward an opposing view.

Remind me, apart from the porn sites, who has been banned for his view point? :?

Don't worry about it, clearly he will carry on loop-hole hunting and making money out of it.

Shame really that he has thrown his toys out of the pram, but sometimes the truth hurts, and he didn't have the decency to apologise to the admin. [-X

Pity it's the best the ELA can come up with.

Yes indeed it is a shame as some of you still cant clearly read whats printed, however with certain people changing others quotes and things to suit their own selfish needs then im not surprised that perhaps some people are getting so misinformed on here, oh well not to worry i suppose we still have the safest record and believe you me 1 of my very best mates owns a taxi repair garage and believe you me i could tell you some horror stories about the cars that people wont have repaired and what some of the drivers get up too, however i choose not too as i believe its childish tactics and once again reiterate thats its a minority of people who ruin it for the majority, pity some others on here cant see any further than their noses!!!!!!!

I don't think anyone is being misinformed, everyone saw that his quote was changed, but no-one really took a blind bit of notice.

He was being wound up, and he bit. All he had to do was to ask for that to be changed, and I suspect Mr no tips would have done it.

Instead the man from the ELA started deleting his posts, which just shows how shallow he is.

Sussex, exactly my point though my friend, this was a sensible and serious debate which was thrown in to childish playground antics by a couple of posters, are you really surprised that he has chosen to do this now, lets be honest these posters threw this way of course ages ago and we were trying to keep it sensible but you can only do this for so long before we give up, anyway as ever kind regards

Well it was untill we got to the nitty gritty, and that's when it started going a tad skew wiffy.

From what I can work out the customer has to have a written contract with the operator and one with the driver. They pay the driver who has nothing to do with the car and the operator.

Now how many of us reckon this happens more than one in ten times? :?

So in the end it will be a case of someone dying before it gets sorted, which although is par for the course, isn't what the limo trade should be aiming for.

I can only speak about London, but once you scratch the veneer off the limo trade it has a very unsavory side.
