I don't get the feeling that the council isn't being anything more than helpful here.
They haven't said they don't want to help, in fact they have been very helpful. What they're advising is that there are certain procedures which must be followed. And they've given me a leg up on what these procedures are.
Ergo, "I hope this is of some assistance to you".
So, I'm happy to accept their assistance and advice, and will follow it.
I take this opportunity to thank the council for its help in this matter.
BTW Travis and George IV, pray tell us all. Why do you think they've done this?
