I believe the excuse was...... that he had a prior engagement with manufacturers of swivel seats..... :oops:

The whole situation does smell of poo.

We have a consultation where the needs of the majority of disabled people have been completely ignored.

We have a situation where the taxi trade are expected to purchase a vehicle that has not yet been developed, and we have no idea of price, for a market where it has more or less been proved, isnt there.

Is the trade to blame? IMO yes.......its to blame because it has sat on its backside and allowed this to happen.....too many people thinking of themselves and thinking they'll be retired long before the sh*t hits the fan.

I hope you are right and me wrong, and I'm more than willing to support the issue, but the trade has to give something to the DfT, and I'm not sure I've seen anything yet.
