Toots, understanding is laughable and couldn't be further from the truth.

The Legal system is a commercial entity. Which turns people into commodities to be harvested by lawyers. Truth and Justice are for boy scouts.

Oh and Cabbyman, any bollocks you might want to add, only goes to show your complete ignorance of how the legal system really works.

You and Toots need to get a bed together.

If the legal system was purely a commercial entity you wouldn't be able to represent yourself within it. It would be restricted so that only members of the legal profession could work within it. Just because the system does not always go your way does not mean it is wrong it just means you haven't proven your case sufficiently or you don't know how to work the system. All systems have more systems within them to make them work, this would be why solicitors spend so long learning the trade before they get a look at the high stakes that this profession can earn. Just in case you not familiar with the length of time it can take for a trainee solicitor to start earning a decent wage it is approx. 7 years.

Btw You and Jasbar need to get seperate beds and get out from under each other

And that, of course, is the perfect way to present and win a legal argument. No further comment.

You show ignorance, what exactly has the Magna Carta got to do with Scotland & Scots Law?

Well the Magna Carta was in part influential with regard to common law, which I do believe the Scots use quite a bit

Toots, it wasn't that long ago Jim, and I was fighting our own case in the Court of Session. Lord Emslie, the presiding Judge, praised us for our understanding of the Law, and he wasn't talking about our knowledge of legal procedure or register.

I believe his words were, “Mr. Thomson, for a layman you certainly have a good understanding of the Law. You have not disgraced yourself in this court today”.

The opposing QC, even complimented us on our “accomplished” submission.

We forced our opponents to abandon their case against us, and to accept all costs to the tune of £7500.

Feel free to check the case out.

Oh and Toots, I could not change your ignorance of the Legal System, no more than I could convince you there aren't any fairies at the bottom of your garden. :-|

I haven't got a garden nor am I ignorant of the legal system. What is it with you lot in Scotland that makes it so difficult to have a differing opinion. I have already read the case which you refer to. I wasn't slating your abilities.

I have to say when I first read this quite a few months back I was actually quite impressed, but, having done a little more digging now it would appear you didn't actually 'win' anything. You just didn't get your ass kicked. Having said that it would appear that the company involved came to it's senses with a change of directors. It is quite pointless defending a libel case when the respondents concerned don't actually have any money and it's not relevant anymore, it's best to cut your losses. You have obviously gained experience on how to delay things I'll give you that

I suppose unlike McDonalds, CRT don't have a bottomless pit of money to waste on defending pointless libel cases and I'm sure the money was better spent on advertising campaigns to raise the companies awareness with the taxi travelling public

From memory, CRT brought the action. Skull and Jasbar were defending themselves.

Yeah I know but the directors have changed and it would appear that they have more sense than the last lot

Toots, you clearly have no idea of how victory or defeat is decided in a court of Law. To the victor the spoils, £7500 the interim interdict lifted and our pursuers forced to abandon the case.

You would have pi**ed your pants, had you been in our position. And your lack of reality would have buried you right at the outset.

Toots, you should always try to be magnanimous, even if you don't mean it. At least it would go some way to cover for your low self-esteem. I get the feeling, there's a Raoul Moat, in there somewhere, or is this the tale of the emancipated woman gone mad.

Toots, knows Jack, about the legal profession other than the pi*h they peddle.
