Yes saf, but that's only because you're thick. And frightened.

So, this company that you're the managing director of. Where can I see it's advertising? How do I contact your customer service department? The Annual report? The staff list? The office? Customer base? The Standard & Poor's listing?

What is your marketing strategy? Are you ISO registered? An Investor in People? What commercial awards have been won? Customer recommendations?

Corporation tax? VAT? National Insurance paid?

What benefits does your company give its staff? Sick pay? Holiday pay? Pension provision? Maternity or paternity leave?

The illusion in your head is so great saf, I just can't wait to receive your fullsome response

There ARE some plates for sale between £40-£42k, but they have no takers, at least two have been available at that price for A YEAR with no takers.

I quoted £35k because that is what I SOLD mine for only weeks ago.
£45k including the motor.

There is no point saying a plate is worth £45k, it may be for sale at that price but if no one is buying then it is not worth that price.

jimmy boy,

There is no illusion,

I made a small profit on the price of the plate, but more importantly I made a larger amount of profit by driving the taxi myself and renting out the other shift.

I have now sold up at what I believe is the right time.

I think you will find that everyone but you would call that a successful business practice.

My apologies saf, but I just consider you as the same as the rest of the plinks in the trade. And, though you've punted the plate, transferred it to someone else in breach of the law, you clearly don't have the wit to leave behind the greedo, control freak mindset of an "owner".

So the post still applies. Because it is your mindset we are dismantling. The illusion.

You've got to move on.

Your drivel is so inane, or is that insane, you could make history by being the first owner to crash and burn without even having a plate to own.

You're a bit like an amputee. The limb has gone but the brain still feels the pain.

Imagine the kind of numpty you have to be to be so inured in the party line that even when the party's finished you still do the stepford cabby gig

C'mon jimmy boy,

Isn't it about time you faced the fact that real life just is not the same as what you see in your little fantasy world.

Most of the guys in the trade are getting on with making money, buying plates, selling plates etc etc.

You on the other hand are just a sad wee man sitting on the sidelines, making plenty for the owner of the taxi that you drive, but not much for yourself.

Constantly carping about how unfair life is to you.
Just get on with it jimmy boy, buy a plate, get another job, just do SOMETHING other than whineing and moaning. Others manage it so why cant you.

You put yourself in the situation that you are in now, if you dont like it then it is entirely your own fault.

You seem to have a notion that I somehow care about what others in the trade are doing? Very curious.

I don't care about you, them or even the trade in general.

What I do care about is me, driver's rights and the customers who pay our wages.

You seem to have some difficulty understanding that what we are working to achieve is what the overwhelming majority of other councils already do. Unrestricted taxi licences. Simple as.

That's why it is we who will decide when the fat lady sings. Not you. Not the council. The longer this campaign continues, the more damage that can be inflicted on the council, it's discriminatory process and those who are responsible and culpable for it.

Now, as I see it the council has Gmac's case coming up later this month. We suspect they are using this case to furnish the excuse to derestrict the market, in line with the majority. (If not, then it will simply be a golden opportunity missed.)

Which may just about explain why the appeal test case has been shunted back to November, no real intent of this ever getting into a court which can only result in a public humiliation for a council easily shown to be playing fast and loose with the very Law they are charged to uphold

In the background the council is failing to furnish us with statements of reasons for refusal. Why?

The council is also dragging its feet responding to my "Breaching Human Rights" report. Why?

MacAskill has this report and is considering it for reply from the appropriate department.

The News of the World has run TWO stories highlighting the blackmarket which exists only because licences are limited and attract a false undersupply premium.

Various MSPs are at this moment seeking responses from the Scottish Government explaining how and why this situation is allowed to prevail.

Meanwhile, we are about to enter in the busy period with many strangers visiting the city. It will only take one more serious sexual assaualt or worse while plates are restricted to cause a major headache for the council. Positions in both the elected and unelected executive will be vulnerable.

We're just sitting back waiting for all this, and more, to break forth. For common sense to break out if you like

You just don't get it do you, jimmy boy.

You are just a silly wee man sat on the sidelines, being humoured by those in power and laughed at by your collegues.

No-one seriously takes any notice of you.

Every time something or other gets dealt with in court, you say that the council is engineering it to remove the cap.

How many times have you said that? and how many times has it failed to happen?.

I have no doubt that you are correct when you say you do not care about the taxi trade, but I do find it surprising, as you are part of the trade yourself.

But, you are ammusing and you make people smile, just like mr bean.

Watch this space. Remember that we don't control timescale. All we can do is work to embarrass the council, and the Scottish government, knowing full well that ultimately we'll be lodging legal suit and looking for heads on pikes, all while awaiting the next rape or sexual assault - with the busy period looming.

Meanwhile, here's a wee tester. It should jolly things along.

Write to your councillor, Tell him/her that you are going to buy a plate. Ask if the council have any objection to this and whether it has discussed whether to lift the cap and what its plans are in this repsect?

BTW I don't really care whether the council lifts the cap or not. We just get to keep inflicting damage. Eventually the damage will become so great the very system will be shaken to its roots.

Confucius say, "There are many gates out of the dwelling of a public woman".

jimmy boy, I am surprised that you are

"awaiting the next rape or sexual assault".

You really are a despicable little man!

You sound like you are looking foeward to it, perhaps even planning it!
