On a serious note it was not a good day for the Dundee taxi trade and until we all pull together i am afraid there will be more days like this.It would be easy to blame the reps but in all honesty it would not have matte-rd what they said. When you have taxi operators/drivers up against council officials(plant officer/solicitor)and taxi booking office bosses not to mention allied vehicle directors there is only going to be one outcome. The council is skint and do not want to go to court something allied vehicles threatened to do.

Don't you get it? If you don't fight for what you want, you get the scraps. No one is going to hand you what you want on a plate. No one represents you but you. If you don't all think the same way, you're fecked.

I speak the truth, but you lot wouldn't know reality if it jumped up and bit you on the ass, but you will, sometime.

IMO, there's never going to be a better time to unite and display the same attitude !

It's no good uniting after the decisions have been made. :?

Maybe so but, when you've got 700+ Hacks/PH's serving a dwindling population of 140.000 and Dundee is the biggest unemployment blackspot in Scotland and, lacks any serious investment due to the central belt always being favoured by The SNP, it's either unite and save whats left or, prepare to stand in the dole Q !

That's 12 guys who see a business opportunity then.

Or 12 guys who just want to contain their costs.

Or 12 guys who want to ditch their private car to save money.

Or 12 guys who are sick fed up having to drive to and from a changeover.

Or 12 guys who resent a fuel tank deficit.

Or 12 guys who are fed up subsidising an oiwner.

or 12 guys who realise their human rights are being breached, because refusing them a licence discriminates against them.

Does anyone really believe that the council in Dundee is gonna re=restrict? Isn't this no longer an option? Or is no one listening to the clear message from Aberdeen's Corporate Services Director?

You're going down the wrong track guys.
