Now do we want a decent trade, that will be viewed in a better light than at present, or do we want to run sheds and then moan when the council carry out checks?

we want fairness age does not signify condition, and there is a government circular that says age should not be considered.

Sussex you talk 2 ways if I said drivers should retire at say 65 you would go balistic.

no other form of transport is retired on age grounds.

There is nothing wrong with reasonable standards, but there is something wrong if you start crying when the council want to check your motor.

If all in the taxi game were nice people who cared about their cars, then the age rule could be rid of. But some are running around in rubbish, because the only time their cars are up to scratch is when they have to re-license.

I know it, and you know it.

I think many do retire on 65 because they fail their medicals, but if they pass then good luck to them. =D>

Let's face it, if I can put up with you, then I can put up with anyone.
