Racist jailed for foul mouthed rant at cabbie A RACIST was jailed for eight months after a Liverpool cabbie recorded his foul-mouthed rant and drove him to a police station. Anthony Kirk subjected the driver to a four-minute tirade after getting into his cab near Lime Street. The 40-year-old became abusive after asking the Turkish taxi driver where he came from. During the racist rant he described the 33-year-old cabbie as a “f*****g foreigner”, a “kebab-eater” and a “monkey”. He accused him of “taking our benefits” and spat in the taxi while repeatedly punching the perspex screen separating the driver from his passengers. Little did he know the cabbie was recording the abusive attack on his hands-free mobile. Instead of taking Kirk to his Anfield home he drove straight to St Anne Street police station on the outskirts of the city centre, and informed on-duty officers. Kirk, of Elm Bank, Walton Breck Road, was cautioned and arrested for racially aggravated threatening behaviour. On Monday he appeared at Liverpool crown court where he was locked up for eight months. He pleaded guilty to the offence which happened at 4am on December 5. Today Det Sgt Cheryl Rhodes, from Merseyside police’s Sigma hate crime unit, said: “We take hate crime seriously and will not tolerate it.” |

Strange how the Words " Hate/Racist Crime" can make the Punishment 10 times harsher...anyone else throwing a similar wobbly without a racist connotation would be let off with a lot less of a sentence. Its double standards where racism comes into play. Im not sure if I dislike Racism itself more than I dislike the way the Racist excuse gives certain ethnic or religious groups a somewhat more robust sense of justice and its consequential punishment in cases of like for like crimes against them....

He called him a kebab eater????? I have never seen the owner or any worker in a kebab shop ever eat one. I thought they were just for pi55ed up white folk who don't know any better. |

I think the fact that this scumbag is being banged up for longer than normal is great. Really don't care what the reason behind it is.
