A Carlisle Taxi driver was today (Monday) in the local magistrates court appealing against Carlisle City Councils decision to suspend him for six months.

The driver failed to secure a wheelchair in the back of his taxi.

It was the contention of the driver, that whilst he admitted not correctly securing the wheelchair, the six month sentence was draconian.

The magistrates upheld the council decision stating that the driver showed no remorse.

I have my own feelings on this, but would be interested to hear your views.

regards

Captain cab

Six months is a long time. A very long time.
Maybe we should get the magistrate to pay his bills.
But then when did the courts ever really like us.
