I've mentioned many times before that diabetics are driving buses, Lorry's and many other vehicles on the UK's roads with no problems whatsoever. |

Are they? I didn't think you could get an HGV or pcv drivers license if you inject insulin? |

Diabetics don't have much choice in their treatment. If you are type 1 diabetic you have to inject insulin. These are the people who can't drive buses and lorries and in some areas, taxis. Type 2 diabetics have some control depending on lifestyle and how bad their sugar is controlled. Some can be controlled just with diets and some need tablets. There is also an injection available which is not insulin for type 2 diabetics. I have an appointment with a specialist later this month to see if I am suitable for this injection. |

Im type 2, type 1 is the bar to HGV/PSV licences, as having a "hypo" (low blood sugar level) is far more common, which can lead to a collapse and death if not treated quickly..... heres one thing (which was true, but havent checked recent) A druggie can can get free new sterile needles to use "whilst jacking up" a diabetic needing needles had to pay for them. wonderful world innit |

lend me a pen, i think its time to complete a form BTW, as an aside sole trade vs Ltd company employee (which you can make yourself for a very small sum) did you know theres no SSP for a S/T whereas theres £70/wk for 6 months if you incorporate? swings/roundabouts.... |
