even after the court case to which the judge ruled that a taxi colour is cosmetic and York Council lost to having the colour black, York Station Taxis are now demanding that to have a permit to ply the Station rank your taxi has to be in the colour black

making things up as they go along, jesus, cab drivers only want to go to work

So basically the company that has the rights to the station are making their own standards.......like any other PH firm would anyway.

Get in there and block the station rank, by not moving, the idiots in charge of the permits will soon back down

I think they'd get arrested.....the police dont take to kindly to stations being blocked :shock:

If its only the rank they block I dont think the police will bother.
They could all refuse to work the station though

If the ranks on station land then they'd be trespassing.....BT transport police may not be too sympathetic.

Does anyone know howmany Station Taxis permits there are and howmany aren't black. When I've been at the station most vehicles on the rank appear to be black so perhaps they are just wanting a uniform fleet.
