.... or is servility forced on them?

Many guys and guys come into the trade with wide experience of the commercial world.

So, what happens when they get behind the wheel of a taxi. How come all of their intelligence and common sense deserts them?

Are they just reverting to some inbred, hereditary forelock tugging subservience, pre-programmed into them?

Is there a natural subservience, the first requirement to be a successful cabby?

How does the power to question, to consider reasonably, just disappear off the radar?

Where does all the life experience disappear to, the sense of what is right and just?

How is it that the understanding of decency descends to the lowest common denominator?

And what happens in the process of becoming a taxi operator? Why does the individual, with all the commercial experience believe that the only way forward is to climb over and subjugate someone else?

Taxis are operated in an unfair, fixed market. Perhaps those who come into the trade only do so because they are already failures. They've failed at what they did before and they think they'll do better where they are protected by vested interests.

That's why they will shell out big time for something they can never own. because it props up their illusion that they are better than they are. Their claim to be a businessman the food of conversation with those they want to look up to them, their elevated status. Pander to their ego, without understanding the reality that they ascended the heap because there was no one to stand in their way - those they joined in ownership with just as eager to maintain the scam lest they're found out too.

The progression from driver to operator perpetuates the scam. The cycle continues. SNAFU

And as long as the pyramid selling of plates continues, as long as the bubble continues, as long as the house of cards stands, everything in the garden is rosy. Unfair, but rosy.

In Dublin, the house of cards fell around £100K. As things stand CEC is encouraging drivers to play the game, continue the scam. The situation WILL only get worse.

This means there are guys now who will be tempted to risk the family silver to buy their own job security, seduced by the council's inability to act properly and timeously.

The fault when the crash comes lies with the council. And its political failures masquerading as the band of brigands called councillors.

Perhaps the council should be sued for the losses. Or the councillors surcharged directly.

I wonder if Taylor read his post through? All the insulting remarks he throws at taxi drivers describe him to a tee.

Obviously his common sense and intelligence deserted him a long time ago.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/conditions/diarrhoea1.shtml

"What are the symptoms?
Diarrhoea is the passing of loose or liquid stools frequently. Acute diarrhoea usually occurs suddenly and only lasts a short time. Chronic diarrhoea continues for a long period of time.

Diarrhoea is often accompanied by wind, stomach pains, cramps, nausea, vomiting or a headache and can cause piles. The area around the back passage may feel sore.
Diarrhoea often occurs when travelling abroad."

what did happen on the 1st of april ??

i havent caught sight of any minutes have you.

are you sure ,what you were told is correct, its just its normally on the web as soon as p lang can run up the high street and switch his laptop on and post the minutes he made earlier.

in fact if its pro regulation that council seem to have access to a time machine.

and if its not! it can take years.

Our Chipper's quite a card, you can tell
He lives in Scotland's own tram hell
De-restriction for him is such a plight
It turns his mind to posts of sh*te
Taxing heavily his lonely brain cell.
