Now I know that its still too high, but at least its going in the right direction.

I think the point being made was that without licensng the numbers would have kept going up. Thankfully the idiots running the London black cab trade were ignored.

They just liked to be able to tar us all with the same brush, villans and rapists.

A PCO inspector told me recently they are going to pilot a new system in the square mile, where you can take a ticket from a machine with a number on it and a licensed operator will send a licensed vehicle to the collection point, reckons it would cut down on touting in London at night :roll:
