From Rick the Rumour - Alan G on fasties.
Many of us have been amused and/or bemused by the recent videos and various comments passed on Iain Colquhoun, erstwhile chairman of Central.
Having been staring at the abyss of defeat for some time, he has now decided to show his true loyalties to the criminal fraternity by officially joining Festival Direct (he has had ties with them for some time now). However before his resignation on Friday, he chose to download all information pertaining to Central's contract portfolio, and now holds illegal copies of all this information as well as the personal details and information of each and every member.
It is obvious that he now intends to reward those thugs who now employ him by contacting many of those contract customers with a view to taking them on for his bosses. The airport will also be a main target, although authorities there would be well advised to avoid being seen as having any financial connections with the criminal fraternity.
Members who might remonstrate with the rat must be aware that their personal safety would be on the line, given the mentality of the WeeGee mafia who would no doubt take delight in backing him up.
What say you now Dogsnob? Still think he's wonderful?
One can but wonder as to how long this has been in the offing. Maybe he wasn't pushed out at all but already had a better offer. After all he no longer owned a taxi and £35k+ from Central is a big loss when you've got a £140K mortgage, an expensive habit to fund and have been verging on bankruptcy for some time.
Good riddance Iain and watch your back!!!
Now boys. Consider this.
This is the same man who has been arguing, using Central private company information to try to do so, for a restriction in hackney taxis.
The truth is out.
How long has he been working in the background to boost his new employer's interests?
How has he used his contacts in the council to maintain this restriction policy, which promotes private hire interests against those of the taxi trade, particularly the drivers, and the cab hailing public?
And, how is the council, particularly the RC, Colin Keir especially, and Cllr Steve Cardownie involved in these nefarious activities by this individual?
And, given that this policy has been in place since before the administration, and taking account of the extraordinary way the policy has been maintained, what part has Corporate Services Director Inch played in delivering restriction to benefit these private interests at the expense of the taxi trade?
Finally for now. Doesn't this explain why the council has been prepared to allow the exponential increase in private hire while refusing to allow the hackney trade to develop normally.
Doesn't this betray their determination to expand private hire rather than deliver to the public a highly visible, professional fleet, with wheelchair accessible vehicles, readily available to the public.
The cuckoo has just proved that corruption is endemic in the taxi trade in Edinburgh and that a public inquiry is essential to weed how those corrupted over recent times.
Doesn't it seem that the roots of council fascist control of our trade is rooted in a corrupt administration?
