Not before time I don't suppose. They should have to be licenced if they are doing this job no matter how you dress it up

Why is it being dressed up as sex discrimination issue when it is all about licensing.

Its both! but the council just deals in the things it knows best. Licensing! Once the ladies have to start paying out for plates etc they will probably loose interest. The police should stop them every night & book them all for no insurance. the law is clear.

I still can't get my head around the fact that this unlicensed firm are trying to promote a safety image.

I think even if they were licensed the business model is flawed, which perhaps indicates why they are unlicensed.

James Parry, a solicitor for Pink Ladies, said: "We've got a good legal case that this is not a private hire company. It is a great shame that the council is wasting taxpayers' money in pursuing this matter."

Well in that case I wonder if he is doing a no win no fee service. :-k

Fear not.

If they win this case, then it will go to the crown court, if they win there it will go to the appeal court, and if they win there then the gov will just have to change the law.
