Whats wrong with charging more for unsociable hours? The reason we have extra charges for unsociable hours is to encourage cab drivers to work. CC |

CC I have just come in for a coffee, and there are 62 cabs doing nothing, 8 on the rank the rest waiting to get on in a car-park 300 yards away, most of the borders working population are on the minimum wage, so they don't have the finances most only ever go out one night a week as that's all they can afford. If we accept this rise it will kill us all, it bad enough now for most of them |

The fare can be discounted so what's the problem

captain cab wrote: Whats wrong with charging more for unsociable hours? No one has said there is anything wrong with charging more for unsociable hours. It seems only the taxi operators in the paper extract[Quote Graham Grey] But when you get a council who are leading on it they should be supported by their own licensed taxis. The operators just give out the work they aren't the ones who are out there at 2am taking the drunks home.
