Still we have got some nice weather to cheer us up and always someone/something to dampen us down.

And if those drivers took their share of the c**p then there would be none.

You know what they are like, if it's not over £10 it's not worth doing.

If I only took £10.00 jobs I'd probably only earn £30 all night

I have had numerous people ask me if the recession has affected us, and along with my usual reply which is a bit long and tedious to go into I said that we had seen a drop for most nights but Saturdays were holding up!

Well! that was until "Bank Hol Saturday" It was the worst Bank Hol Saturday that I can remember, one thing I have noticed is the outside of the City distance jobs seem to be getting thinner and thinner.

Ohh be quiet John, everyone on TDO knows all Cardiff cabbies earn 4k pw and take 5 holidays a year and order a new 7 series every six months, it's the knock on effect of deregulation for you, you've never had it so good, I hear the BBC come down and offer drivers £20000 for an afternoon on the Torchwood set, and they book 4 at a time incase the light changes and the vehicle doesn't look right, someone even said Robbie Fowler was getting a badge because cabbing in Cardiff pays much more than pro football, I was thinking of coming over and putting 6 cars of my own on but unfortunately I don't think I can afford the wages drop and my personal assistant has lock jaw right now so I can't move right now without the risk of amputation.

This weekend it was as busy as busy can be.

Maybe some of those drivers moaning about the state of the trade were moaning from their gardens or whilst barbecuing their burgers.

I think that unless you are London or a seaside resort then it is going to be very much the same everywhere on a pro rata basis, the biggest worry being as you say "All on pay week".

"May" was generally crap and many of us are concerned with the summer months coming because we lose over 29.000 students  who go back home. We are hoping that the boys who rent £255/280 pw will start handing the cars back and that some of our Asian friends will be going back for long holidays, other than that I will be selling "Big Issue"

P.S If you see me selling "Big Issue" drop the pound in but don't take the magazine.

You lot are a barrel of fun

I appreciate it's been a little difficult lately but I heard on the radio over the weekend that the worse of the recession could well be over  :D

You probably get more if you sold your body or your taxi for that matter. Wouldn't it be shameful though if they dropped the pound in for your bod and didn't take it

Ditto John, infact it doesn't compute for a driver with two kids to do the job anymore, he might as well stack shelves and claim WFTC.
