Man charged over alleged Aberdeen taxi thefts

A MAN has been charged in connection with the alleged theft of two taxis in Aberdeen.
The first cab – a grey Ford Mondeo – was allegedly taken from the BP fuel garage in the city’s King Street at 8.30pm on October 30.
A black Mercedes taxi was also allegedly stolen while parked in the city’s Chapel Street, just after 8am on November 1.
It was understood one of the vehicles was later recovered near Torphins and the other was believed to have been found in Aberdeen.
A Grampian Police spokesman said: “A 27-year-old male has been reported to the procurator fiscal in connection with both incidents.”
