A taxi driver locked a woman with learning difficulties in his cab and sexually assaulted her, a court heard.
Muhammed Hasan is accused of molesting a college student he picked up after she had been out with friends.

The woman had been to Babylon nightclub in Guildhall Walk when she left alone and rang Aqua Cars for a taxi, Portsmouth Crown Court heard.

Hasan was sent to pick her up just after 2am on March 28 last year.

Part way into the journey Hasan stopped the car, the court heard.

Prosecutor Gary Venturi said: 'He either told her or asked her to get into the front seat. She did, not sure what was going on, not sure what else to do.

'Having got into the front seat Mr Hasan suggested that perhaps they could go somewhere in Southsea together.

'She said "no I want to go home".'

He said the 35-year-old driver then assaulted the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons.

Afterwards Hasan drove to a shop on Albert Road, Southsea, and locked the woman in the car, telling her he was going to buy condoms, the court heard.

CCTV from the shop shows Hasan buying the contraceptives along with cabs of Red Bull and an alcopop.

'He returned to the car to see she had gone,' Mr Venturi said. 'She had made good her escape.

'She got some distance before she was able to phone her mother for help.

'Her mother describes an hysterical phone call from her daughter.'

Hasan, of Toronto Road, Portsmouth, has pleaded not guilty to one charge of false imprisonment and one of sexual assault.

He was arrested shortly after the police were called and told officers he had done nothing wrong.

To be perfectly honest it doesn't really matter whether it's a PH or taxi we're all tarred with the same brush as most punters do not distinguish between the two sides of the trade

A well known mechanic/garage owner (in the nearby area) who will not be named, hates them coming round for repairs to their motors as they are bad payers and expect everything done on the cheap....

They are the same round here towag, garages tell them they are booked up for 2 weeks. Enter the white man. Can you do me this please mate? Yeah bring it in tomorrow morning and we'll sort it for ya.

The trouble is to some extent it's true..... I know a few Asian people who are not PH/Taxi drivers, who own businesses and the like, they all say that it's only the "empi's" (uneducated no skills) that do "these kind of jobs" Kind of tells you something does it not?
And demeans us......

Discrimination & racism comes in all guises..... It's us as a nation that have to set the example......

Taxi driver denies sexual assault of teenage student


A student with learning difficulties has told a court how a taxi driver locked her in his cab and sexually assaulted her.

The 19-year-old, from Portsmouth, had been out with friends in Guildhall Walk when she got a taxi home alone.

The woman said Muhammed Hasan had asked her to move from the back of the cab to the front seat.

She told Portsmouth Crown Court: 'I just kept thinking "don't go in the front because he might have a knife on him". I didn't know what he would do if I didn't.

'He just kept chatting to me like all the time like normal chat, like "did you have a good time".

'I was crying. I wanted to go home, he just kept driving. I was scared.'

She said that after he sexually assaulted her Hasan drove to a shop in Albert Road, Southsea, to buy condoms.

'He said he was just going in to get some condoms,' she said.

'He got out of the car and he locked the car.

'I don't think he locked it properly because I managed to open the door. I opened it and I ran. I was running and I think my heel broke.

'I reached for the handle and it wouldn't open at first but then it did, it just opened. I think I was shaking, that's probably why it didn't open.'

She said she called her mum and hid between two parked cars while she waited for her to arrive.

Ok CC .... So he goes into a shop in Albert Road to by condoms, Red Bull to stay awake (as he has already worked a 16 hour shift) and an alcopop for the poor lass he intends to rape.....
How considerate of him.....
Not only should he be castrated without anesthetic, he should have his English passport rescinded (if he has one) and deported back from whence he originated......
But most likely have his licence revoked, put on the sexual offenders list with a suspended jail sentence for frightning the poor girl out of her wits....

think we've got just under 700 cars. probably about 100 hackneys (mixed saloon and wav) and the rest p/hire. couldn't tell you if the above driver is hack or p/h. dont know him
