Maybe the Compensation climate is just right....every big insurer lives in fear of such claims and usually coughs up at the slightest mention of being claimed upon. But whats the point in trying to claim against both the Driver and his employer...I Guess the Driver Doesnt have a spare £1.5 Million and as for the Employer how can it be them that gets sued as it was not them driving the Taxi. Also....what insurance company is likley to take responsibilty for such an aged settlement from a company that may have never been insured by them in the last ten years. No its not right...there should be a limit of say 2 years or even 5 years in which a claim can be made. |

No time limit where children are concerned.. also they were probably evaluating the long-term effects of her injuries |

i was puzzled as to why both employer(cab firm) and driver are being sued,maybe the cab firm owned the cab and it had faults that contributed to the accident along with driver error,somebody must know something of this case |

I think the insurance angle is the one they'll pursue, after all, they'll have more money then either the driver or the cab firm. CC |

With compensation settlements like these does any one know if the people actually get a cheque for the amount awarded or is it a sum that is put into trust for the person to draw on when required? |
