 Post subject: Over zealous or what?

My dad told me yesterday about an incident at our town church. There was a funeral taking place and whilst everyone was inside the church the local parking police gave the hearse a parking ticket.

were there cones put out for the hearse because round here there is usually an arrangement with plod to cone off parking space outside the relevant church for the hearse and funeral car

Our church is not even on the main road. It is down a very narrow street with a turning area at the bottom.
