Could this be the way forward as opposed to blocking the roads with Taxis. As he says if 50 people each pressed the button once......hey ho!

Give the old fool a bypass....and then maybe a Frontal lobotomy as well.

You start Bypassing towns that size and they quickly die from cash starvation...then only beligerent old coots like Mr Fuller would want to live there.

    Love it. He's got a viable argument and the area is clearly not designed for that type of traffic

The point I am trying to make is that we as a taxi trade (particularly in Cardiff) are not permitted to have more than twenty taxis doing a demo drive.......................20,50,100 drivers pressing buttons would screw up most areas, and at the same time make the Councils take notice of our plight.

Now of course as a taxi trade what are you protesting about? If you have a group of people organised to do something like this and you inform the authorities about it, because doing it without telling them why would be pointless, you would very soon find yourselves the targets for the authorities.

What would/could we be protesting about!!!!!!!!!!! Come on, you know that there are numerous things that are not being addressed within the trade.

Tell the Councils what you are doing!!!!!!!!!! Have your march as opposed to driving around as this would seem to be more effective, and certainly if it were to be done from a number of points in a given area. Once done it would not take long for the penny to drop if it were done on a number of occasions because taxi drivers were shall we say walking to work

Do you really think that this kind of protest has got legs? Pun inteded. Because If you do, you are living in cloud cuckoo land. For any kind of protest to have a chance of success you need public support. Now just how many members of the public give a monkeys about the taxi trade and the problems that we see? I have a meeting with our enforcement officer at 11.00 this morning to discuss some local issues. I know that even berfore I get there I will probably be wasting my time though.

Right! you said it in one re public support and the fact that you will not get it!!!!!!!!!!!! Right let us all roll over and give in  .

The point is as you have said no one gives a stuff. So go ahead and do your thing, do council workers/ power workers/ workers in general care! no they do not, and sometimes you have take the bull by the horns because pussy footing around is getting us/you nowhere.

You are going into a meeting and already you are practically admitting defeat. I know that you are only as strong as your members, but you must have something to use in negotiations because if you do not they will be saying "no" every time knowing full well that that the dog has no teeth. Have a plan "B" it is a must, otherwise do not bother because they will always want the upper hand and could not possibly allow "Taxi Drivers" to outwit them.
