Man who needed toilet jumps from taxi on Shorehead roundabout

A TAXI passenger who claimed he needed the toilet jumped out of the window when the driver refused to let him out.

The 34-year-old, from Primrose Hill, caught a cab back to Huddersfield yesterday morning after a night out in Sheffield.

He told the driver he needed to go to the loo but got angry when the driver told him he would have to pay a £50 fare to get out.

As the taxi was still moving, the man jumped out of the window on Southgate, next to the Shorehead roundabout, at about 9.45am.

He hit his head on the road and needed hospital treatment for a cut.

The man later told police he thought he was being kidnapped.

Should have asked for the fare upfront...... would have taken away the fear of bilking when the chap asked him to stop for a pee.... :-| Then again cabbies tend to be their own worst enemy, no sympathy I'm afraid. :-|

Oh yes its amazing the stories these people come out with if the taxi had stopped and let him out he would have been off up the road never to be seen again and there would have been little chance of the police doing owt
