Lots of taxi companies our way advertise via the radio and it does work. I don't however think it is the cheapest option and you'll need a jingle with your phone number to start off with. There will then be the costs of the actual time the jingle is played on the radio. I suggest you contact your local popular radio station sales dept who I am sure will be more than happy to assist you. Good luck anyway

I think it's ok, but you don't want to advertise until you have the motors to clear the work.
