Newport were at one time amongst the lowest fares in the U.K (I am not sure where they are now) this has caused their fleets to be quite old, and then you get this from our budding geniuses/freebie hunters.

Quote: agreed to raise the cost of carrying an animal from 60 pence to £1 for all animals except assistance dogs
This should do for 'extras' especially when the students are pi$$ed cos some behave like animals My arguement has always been 'if you can afford to go out on the beer you can afford to pay the taxi fare home' simples

I generally try to avoid them especially when they are arrogant and drunk, effing and blinding worse than troopers, plus they keep you waiting at destination when they count out their pennies and 5p bits to pay you, which invariably tends to be short as they can't count, so I always ask for fares up front now, no matter how short their jouneys are. Sadly I generally find them a pain in the ass..... Period

Yes many a time.... I answer with "So now I'm here to subsidy your fare and give you a tip, on yer bike or shanks pony!! |
