Wednesday 7th July 2010 - Liverpool Taxicab Trade Blind Childrens Outing

Image

This event saw a convoy of taxis taking blind / partially sighted children and their helpers from two Liverpool schools for a fun-filled day out at New Brighton, Wirral.

All of the drivers gave up their day for this good cause, all credit to them! It's heartening to see that even in these hard times drivers are willing to go the extra mile (or in the case of one London cabbie, a considerable distance!) for those less fortunate.

One of my favourite mottos sprang to mind today whilst taking these photographs; it was that of the London Taxidrivers' Fund for Underprivileged Children - "None Walks So Tall As He Who Stoops To Help A Child". How true it is!

The photographs can do the talking...

I was going to say who's that from London until I seen who's cab it was. Well done to him for travelling up to Loonypool to give them a hand.
