Aberdeen taxi driver questioned over ‘verbal attack’ on Twitter

AN ABERDEEN taxi driver was summoned by council bosses after his comments to a passenger appeared on a social networking site.

The driver, whose identity is unknown, launched a “severe verbal attack” on Aberdeen City Council while a businessman was in his car.

The Aberdeen taxi driver’s passenger, referred to as M in a report to an Aberdeen City Council committee, reported the comments on the website Twitter which were seen by Aberdeen City Council staff.

A few of us are wondering that too.
I think I'd like to see exactly what was said before I comment further though :-#

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.

When four coppers can lose a few hours arresting a mild transgressor as opposed to knocking a door down to arrest a heavy transgressor with the chance of getting a smack in the mouth, which task would you choose if you were one of the said plod?

It's just the same when 17 police cars all attend a minor incident when one or two would do.

No police time management!!

No wonder the Coalition want to trim police numbers so that only 16 police cars attend a minor incident instead.

What I can't work out is how council officials have got so much time to spare to find the time to look up things on twitter.

This whole issue must have taken up hours of LO time, and are the council really the best placed folks to decide on the guilt or innocence of someone slagging the council off?

Conflict of interest methinks.

The first thing that popped into my head was similar. What are the council workers doing tweeting when they should indeed be working. The mobile phone is a curse to most offices and employers now and should be banned when you are actually supposed to be working
