I had a student tonight, and she was telling me that she lives about 6 to 7 miles outside kirkaldy in Fife, and that taxis there regulatory charge her £30 for the journey, all because they have to drive a quarter of a mile up a farm track,
I told her the fare should be around £14 to £15 for after midnight or even before that time.
She said they bump the meter up just in case of any damage to the cabs
I informed her they could not do that by law and they can only charge the meter rate as per the tariff sheet
I told her to take the drivers badge number and the cab number and report them to the council

She was totally sober and I asked the questions whats the cabs like at home and where she lived as she mentioned that when ever she calls me I can pick her up strait away or within 10 mins if I cannot I tell her so she can make other arrangements, and that I have not let her down in the 3 years she has been at the uni, unlike the cabs at home

You in a good mood, Skull? An amusing reply, I almost smiled.

A punter moaned to me once that his journey from the station to home would have been cheaper in London. I advised him to get a cab home from Kings Cross next time..
