And I could not believe what I was looking at I saw a blue line saloon with a Berwick hack plate on it, no roof sign, then it had PH only written all over it all over the body work. Is this legal, and no wonder folk in Newcastle get confused

As I stated above, the vehicle will be very lucky if it ever, ever see's the Berwick zone, so who is going to enforce the rules and byelaws? The vehicles testing is carried out in another area and everything is done via post, the chances are the only thing the council know about the vehcile is what has been stated on the application form. I hope that thick c*nt Mr Wilson is happy. CC |

What does the law and rules say though, I know you can get your hack plate from any council and work PH, but can you legally change the vehicle licence appearance description by removing the top sign and placing PH signage on the vehicle instead???? Can you change the tariff issued by that council as this cab had a meter and it was on All Mr Willson did was exploit the loop hole and allow cab owners to get a cheaper licence, so possibly other councils are charging to much in the first place |

All Mr Wilson did? You mean like allow the testing of vehicles outside the area. You mean like accepting postal applications? You mean like allowing people to circumvent local driver standards by getting a license in Berwick? As for the price, do you know how much a person saved? CC |
