A taxi driver is recovering in hospital after being stabbed in Nottingham, police said.

Officers were called to Furze Gardens in the St Ann's area of the city just before 2330 GMT on Sunday.

They found the taxi driver with serious stab wounds to his leg. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

A search of the surrounding area was carried out but no arrests have been made in the investigation, Nottinghamshire police said.

I'm afraid it's very much par for the course at this time of year & especially in austere times.

Lets hope they give them some nice time to think about their actions.

Don't hold your breath, a ticking off is the more likely outcome..even it was a Jail sentence it would probably be better accomodation and food than the Scumbag probably gets at home....wheres the deterrent in that????
