Police are seeking witnesses after a teenager was hit by a taxi.
The incident happened at 11.40pm on Saturday on the A259 Denmark Place, Hastings at the junction with Albert Road.
A local 17-year old boy was hit by a Vauxhall Vectra taxi which was travelling west on the A259.
He was taken to the Conquest Hospital with leg injuries.
His condition is described as serious but stable.
The 59-year old local taxi driver was unhurt.
The westbound carriageway of the A259 was closed for three hours whilst police Collision Investigators examined the scene.
A Sussex Police spokesman said; "We are appealing for any witnesses to contact Sussex Police on 0845 60 70 999, quoting Operation Carrington."
