A quote from Victor Hugo:

A creditor is worse than a slave-owner; for the master owns only your person, but a creditor owns your dignity, and can command it.

I am no one's slave, and no one owns my dignity- Skull.

The normal on the the nightshift is £45 sun-thurs,£70 on a friday and £75 on a saturday.

So the normal rental if you want 7 days is £370 in my book saf unless like some owners I know who take the saturdays of the driver for themselves to drive or 50/50 with a part-timer doing the shift.

Ha dug typical you know dam well most drivers pay for the airport fob themsevles. As for the permits for wav or haymarket it doesn't matter one iota the rental is the norm, permit or not.

Why do you think the greedy owners out there try to shut the drivers up talking

What you guys don't get is that no one should HAVE to pay a rental to get access to the tools of his trade.

It wouldn't be tolerated anywhere else, so why in the taxi trade?

Oh yes, of course, it's because the council gives the clique a leg up, a helping hand, a special privilege.

And that's £64,000,000 worth of privilege.

Isn't it therefore no wonder that usual suspects come on here with their bile bleating like lost sheep to protect their special privilege.

Dark ages guys, you're living in the dark ages.

The power of an idea whose time has come is unstoppable.

Victor Hugo.

So, bleat away guys, you showing your pain does wonders for the resolve.

Me? I just take comfort in the knowledge that without the council's helping hand you lot will go down. And I hope all the way out.

You see, that's precisely the kind of quality controls we've long talked about.

"More taxi's in Edinburgh would ruin the trade",Thats what you said Jim.
Hypocracy of the highest order listen to yourself.
There is no more straws for you to clutch Jim and no matter how many times you try and convince yourself and others that the games up for the Edinburgh taxi trade you lose, show a little dignity and concentrate on something more worthwhile.Retire, your health is at risk here Jim all these setbacks cant be good. :D

So that person you sold that free plate you managed to snaffle, possibly with some insider dealing.......do you think;

a, He had the money in his bank.

b, He borrowed the money from a bank.

c, Robbed a bank to get the money.

More importantly, do you think the people he borrowed the cash from, should be paid back?
