Aberdeen city council has issued a new saloon licence going against their own WAV policy.

A source tells that the new holder is disabled.
What case was thrown out by another authority for the same thing a little while back?

Should a driver not able to operate a WAV properly be compelled to buy one none the less? :?

Is there any evidence to back this claim up

I have just read the minutes of Aberdeen's last two agenda's and can see no evidence of this case

Item 4.1 Request for Permission to Substitute a Saloon Car onto a Taxi Operators Licence

He was in fact allowed to put a saloon on his WAV licence.
There are no details in the agenda about it, other than the guy's name.
Next meeting is in September and minutes of the 1st June meeting won't be available until a week before the next meeting

What is the issue with having a WAV? :?

In many areas, including Dundee (I think), you can buy a new WAV cheaper than a new Mondeo.
