Nottingham taxi drivers in go-slow protest Hackney cab drivers have staged a go-slow protest over new parking regulations in Nottingham. The city council is issuing fines to drivers who block bus stops or use pay and display bays. The authority says the measures are necessary to keep traffic moving. Drivers say it is unfair as there are 411 Hackney cabs and only 201 taxi rank bays. video: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-no ... e-14014844 |

Is it the norm for all the cabs to be out at the same time? |

It's a strange place anyway. They're complaining about not having enough places to park up, but, seem quite happy that there are bus lanes that only allow WAVs in them Having said that I may have been in Nottinghamshire but not Nottingham itself and it doesn't take much to confuse me

I think what makes it worse is they have already put a massive hike on the price of registering cars, and I have no idea if this is the norm but it will cost you twice as much if you dare to register a car under 3 years old??? |
