Fake taxi driver Sajjad Hussain guilty of sex assaults
A 42-year-old man has been found guilty of sexually assaulting two women in his car while posing as a taxi driver.

Sajjad Hussain, who has a previous conviction for a similar offence, carried out the assaults in Glasgow in July and November last year.

He had claimed to be at home with his brother on both occasions but a jury at Glasgow Sheriff Court convicted him.

Sentence on Hussain, who is already on the sex offenders register, was deferred for background reports.

The court heard how the women, aged 23 and 39, who cannot be named for legal reasons, got into his car expecting to be taken home safely but were instead sexually assaulted.

Passengers attacked
The youngest of the two women told the jury Hussain's car was a "private hire looking car" and was waiting outside the Casino on Glasgow's Sauchiehall Street around 0600 BST last July.

She said when she heard the driver would charge her only a few pounds to get home and opened the passenger door for her she got in.

After reaching her destination in Tradeston, Hussain tried to kiss the woman and put his hand into her bra.

When she pushed him off he said: "You know you want it".

Hussain's victim shoved him off and threw money at him before running out of the taxi.

The former taxi driver's next victim got in to his car in November at Battlefield Road, believing it to be the taxi her friend had phoned for her.

She told the court how Hussain's had brushed her leg before he began groping her.

His second victim escaped from the car when it stopped at traffic lights before getting help and alerting police.

Did this fake taxi driver in a fake taxi have a fake enhanced crb check?

And when he was a genuine taxi driver, (albeit ph) did he have a GENUINE enhanced CRB?

Habitual offenders like him should be castrated, that would take away their sex urge and leave females safer to enjoy a night out. Having said that why do they continually jump into PHC's? Do they not read papers?

How about the taxi trade, and the council asking the simple question why these females needed to get into private hire looking vehicles in the first place.

It's no accident that Glasgow also restricts taxis.

Just like Edinburgh, where females are also raped getting into unlicensed vehicles.

And with the restrictions still in place, these are more likely to happen again.

Of course Scumbag Keir, rather than derestrict, because would have hurt vested interest, put stickers on PH saying they need to be pre-booked.

Brilliant, except if you don't know they should be there in the first place, you don't notice they're not when you get into an unlicesed vehicle because you just want to get home and your common sense is dimmed by alcohol or drugs.

City of Glasgow council is just as guilty as these miscreants for these girls coming to harm as the criminal scum who harmed them.

Just like in Edinburgh, where Keir is responsible for these girls being harmed. he had the power to do all he needed to do. But refused.

I asked him what if it was his daughter. The scumbag ignored it.

Anyone wanna bet there's another rape in the offing in Edinburgh?

Just a matter of when.

Another sign on private hire?

There is no evidence to support the theory that there are more rapes in restricted areas than there are in de-restricted areas. If there was I'd gladly support the de-restriction of taxis in any area that has a high rate of bogus taxi rapes
