Phone the council and ask why, for the second year running, they have failed to deliver my new taxi driver's badge on time.

Once again it seems I have to drive on the receipt.

How is it, with the considerable sum of money dropped on their lap for licensing, they can't process a licence within a reasonable timescale?

Or, is it really true that licensing money, under the new setup, is being siphoned off to prop up other council services?

Can't remember seeing permission for this in the CGSA 1982.

But then, don't councils do what they want rather than what they're supposed to anyway?

Monday afternoon then ....
