www.thetaxiforums.co.uk, the original and best taxi forum based website, so far, has been finally taken down.

The reason for this is because of an individual who posted on a site called www.f************.com (based in New York, USA) telling the American nerds to fill the site with disgusting images, which, you may have noticed, started recently.

If there ever was a reason for asking members to register THIS IS IT, forums are open to abuse from non-interested parties and therefore cannnot be accessible by "guests" who can destroy ANY forum based site they have ANY access to.

I therefore strongly advise the administration of taxi driver on-line to take immediate action to save this site from such interferance.

Nah. That's rollocks imho.

What ruins a site is when people try and restrict access to those who disagree with their opinions.

Or a forum bans a regular poster cos he predicts that they will get in trouble posting libelous material.

Main benefit of registration is that if a site does get targeted the hosts can contact users of a new location.

Oh and just to let you all know, the owner of the site WILL be recieving a letter from their ISP and the original poster is being saught so that he can recieve what is due to him, which shouldn't take to long.

Nice place the internet, spoilt by [edited by admin].

OH well don't listen, allow users to post whatever they want, it may be [perverted porn] or maybe even pictures showing child abuse. Would you like that kind of thing appearing on here, would ya. I don't think so.

Any excuse to have a go, thats all dickheads like you look for, www.thetaxiforums.co.uk was recently taken over after the previous admin couldn't make it work, what a waste of time that was. I wasn't involved but my good friend Alan Foster has put years of hard work into that site and he deserves more from it that simpleton, empty-heads like you mocking his mis-fortune.

Get a life, you sad [expletive deleted].

Pure class.

I haven't heard of any other site receiving such treatment.

Problem is Mick, that your little club have been so agressive to people with other views and so intolerant to them that you end up antagonising folks.

Besides which, you then 2 +2 and make it 6.

Don't bother abusing me with insults cos I think it just emphasises how little regard I should have for your opinions.

How do you diseminate between someone posting obscene pictures with your willingness to post obscene words?

The posted pictures were pretty gross Tom, and it seems that they try to target forums at random and try to close them down.

Sad but true.

I hope they are caught and face severe penalty, but if they could be caught they would have been.

punishement fitting this lot is not fines ,

Who's my little club like Mr Thumb, I would like you to identify them all.

I'm absolutely not in-tolerant to peoples views mate, I just object to people telling me that I'm telling lies about the situation in my manor.

There are now 254 H/C plates in Gateshead, there was 87.

Saloon plates demand a premium, that premium has rose from £6k to £10k.

New plates are being issued to new drivers, P/H drivers are staying P/H drivers and their numbers are also increasing.

Now Mr Thumb, thats whats happpening here, come up and see for yourself if you don't believe me. What I take exeption to is when people say I'm lying. What would I have to gain, all I tried to point out that the apparent "ideals" of deregulation benefit no-one exept the big players, the person who owns the most H/C vehicles in my manor has probably got 100 vehicles mostly WAV's. We have therefore seen a increase in the numbers of jockies.

But I don't expect you to believe me, nor do I expect you to change your pre-concieved ideas of the validity of my own personal opinion.

Thats up to you mate, but by coming out with ill-informed statements like you did on this thread further intimidating a response from myself, show the value of your input.

Your little club?

Nidge, on occasions Mr Foster (though I accept Alan probably had lots of grief before I arrived on the scene), and the toadies who frequented your back slapping site.

You move the argument away from where this thread is focused, websites being hit by addictive morons who take pleasure in such things, and move it away onto other ground.

I raised a different opinion to your initial post on this and was greeted with a condemnation finishing with being called a sad ****.

I wasn't aware that this thread was dealing with Gateshead at all. But seeing as you raise it then why not. So a big fleet owner has put 100 WAV's on and is renting them to jockies. Congratulations to him, he sounds like he is making a financial investment in this industry.

The jockies are possibly coming into the trade without the hardship of having to find 30K for a WAV.

That is there choice, if you want to run a shopyou don't have to buy Tesco.

Lets go back to your website experience, did you not post a libelous statement about an operator in your area (lets me guess it is the owner of 100WAV's) saying he was paying the council in brown envelopes for favourable policy decisions?

I suggested that could led you into trouble. When i was proven right you responded by banning from your site. Fantastic. Very balanced.

I think that most guest posts were known contributors. I lost count of how many of the guests called me scum, scum of the earth or [edited by admin]. All feigning innocence when they occasionally posting with a known moniker saying how others abuse the internet.

I also think that your site and Alan Fosters site's were destroyed by self importance of the owners.

These pictures, as foul as they were, are a bit of a red herring.
