Please find forwarded, the following request recieved from Naomi Carter, Channel 4 TV Best wishes Andy Hi, I hope that you can circulate this information to your members list. I am writing from the TV programme Scrapheap Challenge and I am keen to recruit a team of cab drivers for the next series which starts in April. I would be very grateful if you could circulate this information for me. Kind regards Naomi Carter Naomi Carter Researcher – Scrapheap Challenge RDF Media T: 0207 013 4472 E: Naomi.carter@rdfmedia.com www.channel4.com/scrapheap ========================================================================================================================= SCRAPPERS NEEDED! We are now making the Seventh series of Scrapheap Challenge and are recruiting contestants to take part. Scrapheap Challenge is a popular engineering show where two teams of mechanically minded people have just ten hours to build and race contraption. In previous years these challenges have included snowmobiles, monster trucks and monowheels, jet racers amongst many others. The last series was transmitted on Channel 4 and attracted an average audience of over three million. The series is structured as a knockout competition with the winning team taking home the prestigious ‘Scrapheap trophy’. Team should consist of three members, with sound knowledge of engineering and mechanics. Teams should have ‘hands on’ experience, good welding skills and a great team bond. We provide a forth member, an ‘expert’ at a later date. Further information about applications can be found on our web site: http://www.channel4.com/science/microsites/S/scrapheap/ Alternatively, email or phone me on the below details and I can tell you more! Scrapheap Challenge welcomes applications from anyone over the age of 18, regardless of gender, ethnic origin or disability (subject to safety considerations). If you or anyone at your organisation requires further information, please don't hesitate to get in touch. The closing date for applications is 22nd January 2004. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from you in the near future. Yours Sincerely, Naomi Carter Researcher Tel:020 7013 4472 E-mail: Naomi.carter@rdfmedia.com |
