of a ‘clean’ new electric-powered black cab planned to revolutionise travel in the capital next year.

Well Clean at the point of use at least, that leccy does not come from nowhere.

Why will It revolutinise travel as it's just powering the same mode of transport as has been around for over a 100 years.

In the vid it shows the dash along with the words 75 MPG  if it can do that and has a good range it should sell well, but they will have to put there fares down, or add to the tariff sheet a bob for the metre

I wish them every success.

It appears one of the main questions has been answered i.e. the price will be similar to the TX4, but we need to know how long it will go without needing a recharge, even with the mini petrol engine.

They're claiming the wankel rotary engine will simply provide electric power, not engine power as such, so it's a never ending electric supply.

Dunno.

I think it looks like a hearse.

Even allowing for a £20,000 in fuel savings over say a 130,000 miles it's still a big price to pay for car that can only do 250 miles or so under test track circumstances.

When the come down to £30,000 and can carry 5 Adults and luggage over a range of 400 Miles..then I'll become interested.

Though and fair Do's to them ..they are getting there slowly and at which point the Government will start to implement road charging or introduce an Auto leccy tax to offset the loss in fuel duty....either way any potential savings will be stolen back off us and go towards the Governments coffers.
