Police success in scrap and taxi clamp downVehicles were taken off the road and premises checked during a police operation targeting the scrap and taxi industries in Mansfield Woodhouse.
Four scrap yards were visited and their records checked. Of the scrap wagons stopped, two vehicles were prohibited from the road due to licence issues. One was linked to a suspicious incident in the Clipstone and Forest Town area.
Four taxis were also taken off the road due to significant defects and a number were referred to the Licensing department due to unsealed meters.
