I understand that the Reading Licensing Authority have refused Uber a Licence to Operate. Has any other Licensing Authorities also refused a licence to Uber? |

Well at the moment they're having difficulties in obtaining one in Oxford and have ran out of Bradford. |

I think Uber love being refused. It gains them tens of thousands of pounds of free advertising. And when they appeal that gets tens of thousands of pounds more free advertising. |

Doesn't matter anyway, since jobs are "pre-booked", the car will just come from a neighbouring authority. Plenty of London licensed cars pick up in the surrounding areas, such as Staines, Windsor, Slough, as well as Gatwick, Luton and Stansted. Uber has a licence to operate in Slough anyway, so their drivers will pick up in Reading, if they happen to be in that area empty. |
