A taxi driver recently convicted for ABH. He got in a fight with opposite teams coach/ football players on the field during/after the game. He himself was a coach for a childrens football team. After the courts conviction of 5 months suspended sentence & a hefty fine - Licensing want him to be suspended and therefore hand his badge in immediately in the interests of "public safety" !

Any thoughts on the above would be appreciated

I think his taxi driving days are/should be numbered.

But then I'm not a butcher a baker or a candlestick maker.

Why do they want to suspend him? Are they not looking at revoking his license because if they are they should not be suspending first because if they do then they can't revoke later.

Again there appears to be half a story here, the content of the Council letter is needed to be seen before you can give advice on what to do.

I don't know the ins and outs of this but if he's capable of "losing it " maybe he shouldn't be driving ph it would only take one aggressive drunken idiot to get him to lose it again and he could end up inside
