lincoln taxi drivers could have easily avoided taking a btec course at the cost of £240 and a lot of their time by funding a challenge to the councils illegal policies. I put a great deal of time and effort into researching the policy and how it was introduced, and had gathered enough evidence to seek a judicial review into the illegal methods used to push through this and other policies. At acost of £10 to £12k split amongst 500 drivers, and allowing for the stupidity factor of not chipping in their share from some, about £50 a driver into the hat, would have been a fair punt, would it not?
Still, why should I care? If they want to take it all up the jacksie, well, why not?

Me? I'm going to sail off into the sunset. I can retire in July, and it's never looked more appealing.

Meanwhile, the council get away with...

...an illegal age discrimination policy.

A 3mm tread depth policy

An any colour you like, as long as it's black policy.

And a we will do as we like policy, because there are 500 drivers out there who won't stand up and be counted.

Bend over boys and girls.

And it's goodnight from me!

Oh dear! He is still banging on about the corrupt unions who have let industry/the work-force down big time. If we had the real unions of the 60/70s, we would never be where we are re many of the problems in this country - The Unions WATCHED jobs go abroad........and said nothing.

TT, it is time to let the past go......Unions are finished big time.

Would have been delighted to meet you last Friday. Could have taken you along to the Royal Albert Hall to see the massed bands of Her Majesties Royal Marines. We sang the national anthem and Happy Birthday to the Queen! You would have loved it! And then on Saturday watching protesters getting duffed up by the boys from the Met outside Downing Street. Perfect weekend really.
