Post subject:  Driver threatened with knife and car stolen

One of our Drivers was assaulted and threatened with a knife before having his car stolen on Sunday. He's ok but looks a bit shaken (naturally)
Two young lads were heading for Shefield, his car's not been recovered so far.
He put up a fight but they overpowered him.

Not good at all.

I would have thought it would have been easy for the police to find the car, unless it has no markings. But then do the police give a stuff about the taxi/PH trade? :?

How was the booking taken, and from where?

Well, it appears they'd been visiting someone in a Young Offenders Insitute and walked to a nearby phone box.(not the best place to pick someone up) and the driver set off then as he slowed down they tried to overpower him. They managed to get him out of the car and put the central locking on and drove off.
He had his wallet and credit card in the car, and they used his card to top up a mobile phone!
They should be on cctv and have their names etc at the prison so with a bit of luck............................................................

We use data and a "tango" is 99, so he'd have to key f2 99 f5 to send, which is 4 buttons to press in a hurry. He went on channel 2 (voice) but he was the other side of town and the base didnt hear him shout in time.
