Man accused of threatening taxi driver with machete in Stockton appears in court
A man accused of allegedly threatening a taxi driver with a machete has appeared in court.
Peter Wyatt, 36, entered no plea to three charges including wounding, attempted robbery and carrying an offensive weapon, when he appeared at Teesside Magistrates' Court .
It is alleged that on June 19, Wyatt tried to rob a quantity of cash from a taxi driver at around 3am on Yarm Lane, in central Stockton .
The victim was left with hand injuries which required hospital treatment.
Wyatt, of Hartington Road, Stockton, was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Teesside Crown Court on July 19.
